LAKE JOSEPH COTTAGE

A full-scale renovation imbued this 4,000-square-foot cottage with an airy, updated version of old-school Muskoka charm. Taking its cue from the original living room, the transformation involved opening up spaces, raising ceilings and incorporating new architectural elements. Injecting the cosy envelope with plenty of slipcovered furnishings, beloved antiques and hits of bright colour completed the cottage’s distinctively cheerful vibe.
